As soon as you arrive at the airport, the driver will pick you up and drop you off at the hotel. Afterwards, we’ll start with the first adventure of the weekend – the SKY Lagoon. This lagoon has been long woven into Iceland’s thermal bath tradition. It’s a geothermal pool where you and your girl’s squad can unwind and rejuvenate. It will take your hen party celebration to the next level as you experience the majestic views over the North Atlantic sea, particularly the sunset. Soak in the warm water and watch the waves crashing beneath you. And if you are lucky enough, the Northern dancing lights will give you an amazing show. You can enjoy this experience after some walks around Rekjavik or after landing.

During the afternoon/evening, you can explore the city and its cultural attractions, like the Old Town area with galleries, museums, restaurants, pubs, and galleries. It boasts of a flourishing music scene, where you can watch or explore something suited to your taste. Let us know if you want to make any pre-bookings for local bars or restaurants, and we can do it for you. But this is not included in the package cost, although we think it will add great value to your whole experience. Oh, and we suggest another epic activity during the winter months – Northern Light Hunt!

Day 2

So here comes the second day of our hen party weekend, where all of your girl-weekend ideas come to life! You’ll start your day with a golden circle tour. It is by far Iceland’s most famous attraction and takes you on a circular journey through the heart of its Southern region. You’ll get a unique chance to visit historical places and iconic sites, including Thingvellir national park, Gullfoss waterfall, and phenomenal Haukadalur with its Great Geyser and Strokkur.

The first stop is Thingvellir National Park which has great historical, geological, and cultural significance. It is located in a rift valley, and UNESCO has designated it as a world heritage site. It became Iceland’s first national park and is home to the largest natural lake, Thingvallavatn. The next stop will be Gulfoss falls, one of the most popular tourist attractions. It gets its name from the golden colour of the water as it churns up silt and sediments. The falls are 32 metres high, and during the winters, the waterfall freezes over into stunning ice waves, giving spectacular views. On your last stop, you’ll get to explore Strokkur Geyser, which erupts every 5-10 minutes!

All of these Golden Circle tour stops are simply worth visiting. As part of our package, we will also treat you with a pre-booked lunch to keep your energy at optimal levels. But the best is yet to come! After the Golden Circle, immerse in a soothing SPA experience in the Secret Lagoon to finish the day soaking in its healing waters. It is one of Iceland’s oldest natural swimming pools, making it one of the hidden gems you cannot afford to miss. The Secret Lagoon is located in the beautiful, peaceful village of Flúðir, close to the Golden Circle route. What makes it so special are the rich natural resources of warm water coming directly from the hot springs. Is there a better way to experience the light show than relaxing in the warm water with your hen party?

Apart from this tour, there are other adventurous activities to try, as well. We can add those to your weekend trip based on your preferences.

If you’re planning your hen weekend away during winter, don’t miss visiting the ice caves. A new cave is formed each winter, making them unique and spectacular. The blue interiors and natural ice sculptures make it a photographer’s dream. And for those interested in slower yet equally thrilling Icelandic sports, you should consider glacier hiking. We highly recommend getting up close to the glaciers to experience their magnificence fully.

One of the popular glaciers is Sólheimajökull. It’s two hours away from Reykjavik, and along the way, you will also have the opportunity to visit two breathtaking waterfalls- Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss.

After you’re done enjoying your day, we take you to a local brewery to taste some of the finest Icelandic beers paired with a delicious burger.

Day 3

So, this is your last day with us. Don’t be sad; the adventure doesn’t end just now! We saved the best for last, meaning you’ll get to visit your last SPA experience – the famous and absolutely incredible Blue Lagoon!

Imagine soaking in geothermally heated water rich in minerals and surrounded by Iceland’s magical and epic landscapes. Sounds magical, right?! Blue lagoon is known for its spectacular bright blue waters and unique setting in the lava field. It’s a real treat for the mind, body, and soul. Unlike other hot springs, this one doesn’t naturally get hot water. It’s fed from a power plant and has exceptional therapeutic properties.

For this, we’ll give you tickets which include a mask, a drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic), and a towel.

Finally, the trip ends here, and we have to say goodbye to each other. Your driver will take you back to the airport, where you’ll be on your way home after making some endless memories.

Before we conclude our guide, we would like to give you a few suggestions regarding getting here and attire. In essence, reaching Iceland through London is easy! Several flights take you directly to Reykjavik, removing all the hassles of making additional plans. You can easily catch a flight on Friday morning and fly back Sunday evening. Whatever time you choose, we can adapt to your schedule. In addition, we recommend bringing sufficient warm clothing as you will spend most of your time outdoors. Don’t forget to pack hiking shoes, warm jackets and pants.

Another thing to keep in mind is that we can personalise the package based on your preferences. So, you can choose to include or exclude some of these:

  • ATV tour – You will ride along the shores of the majestic lake Hafravatn offering the most breathtaking panoramic views of Reykjavik and Reykjanes Peninsula!
  • Whale-watching tour – An unforgettable sight, we will organise a whale-watching tour in Reykjavik!
  • Snowmobiling – wish to witness Iceland’s beauty uniquely? Then there’s no better way than hopping on a snowmobile and feasting on the beauty all around.
  • Horseback Riding – a unique experience on Icelandic horse, a breed originally brought here by the Vikings, and enjoy a relaxing ride through lava-laden scenery past mountains, lakes, and moors
  • Into the Ice Cave –the closest to Reykjavik is Katla Ice Cave in Mýrdalsjökull Glacier, which can be visited all year round!
  • Snorkelling Between Continents – how about snorkelling in Silfra? It is the only place on earth where the two continental plates are visible! Not to mention, the water between them is crystal clear, enabling you to explore a whole new world.
  • Glacier walk –either walking or hiking, we will arrange an exploration of the majestic glaciers with experienced licenced guides!

We think you’ll agree that Iceland is ideal for an unconventional hen party, providing breathtaking arctic splendour, outdoor activities, relaxing spas and more. If you are ready to plan your adventure, book a bespoke – hen weekend away with us!
